Your computer can perform incredible feats; however, they must be done within very specific parameters to achieve the ideal result. When inputting data, it is preferable to use standardized formatting. Thus, when receiving data from outside sources, you should first normalize the text strings. The following API will normalize a street address for improved usage in operation.

To install with Maven, add a reference to the repository in pom.xml:

<repositories>
<repository>
<id>jitpack.io</id>
<url>https://jitpack.io</url>
</repository>
</repositories>

And add a reference to the dependency in pom.xml:

<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.github.Cloudmersive</groupId>
<artifactId>Cloudmersive.APIClient.Java</artifactId>
<version>v3.54</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>

To install with Gradle, add it in your root build.gradle at the end of repositories:

allprojects {
repositories {
...
maven { url 'https://jitpack.io' }
}
}

And add the dependency in build.gradle:

dependencies {
implementation 'com.github.Cloudmersive:Cloudmersive.APIClient.Java:v3.54'
}

Then, you can call the function:

// Import classes:
//import com.cloudmersive.client.invoker.ApiClient;
//import com.cloudmersive.client.invoker.ApiException;
//import com.cloudmersive.client.invoker.Configuration;
//import com.cloudmersive.client.invoker.auth.*;
//import com.cloudmersive.client.AddressApi;
ApiClient defaultClient = Configuration.getDefaultApiClient();// Configure API key authorization: Apikey
ApiKeyAuth Apikey = (ApiKeyAuth) defaultClient.getAuthentication("Apikey");
Apikey.setApiKey("YOUR API KEY");
// Uncomment the following line to set a prefix for the API key, e.g. "Token" (defaults to null)
//Apikey.setApiKeyPrefix("Token");
AddressApi apiInstance = new AddressApi();
ValidateAddressRequest input = new ValidateAddressRequest(); // ValidateAddressRequest | Input parse request
try {
NormalizeAddressResponse result = apiInstance.addressNormalizeAddress(input);
System.out.println(result);
} catch (ApiException e) {
System.err.println("Exception when calling AddressApi#addressNormalizeAddress");
e.printStackTrace();
}

If the address is valid, it will also return the latitude and longitude of the location. You can retrieve the API Key from the Cloudmersive website at no cost and with no commitment. This will provide you with 800 monthly calls across our library of APIs.
