Deleting slides from a PowerPoint presentation is about to get trivialized for all you Python users out there.
Let’s begin by using pip install to bring in our API client:
pip install cloudmersive-convert-api-client
Now for our actual code. This only requires use to create an API instance using a key, then calling edit_document_pptx_delete_slides from said instance. This function will take in an RemovePptxSlidesRequest object, which contains your file as a URL or byte array, as well as the first and last slide for the range that you would like to delete.
from __future__ import print_functionimport timeimport cloudmersive_convert_api_clientfrom cloudmersive_convert_api_client.rest import ApiExceptionfrom pprint import pprint# Configure API key authorization: Apikeyconfiguration = cloudmersive_convert_api_client.Configuration()configuration.api_key['Apikey'] = 'YOUR_API_KEY'# Uncomment below to setup prefix (e.g. Bearer) for API key, if needed# configuration.api_key_prefix['Apikey'] = 'Bearer'# create an instance of the API classapi_instance = cloudmersive_convert_api_client.EditDocumentApi(cloudmersive_convert_api_client.ApiClient(configuration))req_config = cloudmersive_convert_api_client.RemovePptxSlidesRequest() # RemovePptxSlidesRequest | Presentation input requesttry:# Delete, remove slides from a PowerPoint PPTX presentation documentapi_response = api_instance.edit_document_pptx_delete_slides(req_config)pprint(api_response)except ApiException as e:print("Exception when calling EditDocumentApi->edit_document_pptx_delete_slides: %s\n" % e)
And that, folks, is how to remove PPTX slides in a big hurry. Easy mode!
