How to convert XML to JSON in C# .NET Framework

Parsing XML is definitely on the painful list when it comes to tasks in C#. Instead of spending all afternoon working on that, how about we implement a nice simple solution that can take care of it for you and convert it into nice simple JSON format. Give me but five minutes of your time and I will have you up and running.

First we will need to use NuGet to grab our package:

Install-Package Cloudmersive.APIClient.NET.DocumentAndDataConvert -Version 3.2.8

Now we go ahead and call this function here:

using System;using System.Diagnostics;using Cloudmersive.APIClient.NET.DocumentAndDataConvert.Api;using Cloudmersive.APIClient.NET.DocumentAndDataConvert.Client;using Cloudmersive.APIClient.NET.DocumentAndDataConvert.Model;namespace Example{public class ConvertDataXmlToJsonExample{public void main(){// Configure API key authorization: ApikeyConfiguration.Default.AddApiKey("Apikey", "YOUR_API_KEY");// Uncomment below to setup prefix (e.g. Bearer) for API key, if needed// Configuration.Default.AddApiKeyPrefix("Apikey", "Bearer");var apiInstance = new ConvertDataApi();var inputFile = new System.IO.Stream(); // System.IO.Stream | Input file to perform the operation on.try{// Convert XML to JSON conversionObject result = apiInstance.ConvertDataXmlToJson(inputFile);Debug.WriteLine(result);}catch (Exception e){Debug.Print("Exception when calling ConvertDataApi.ConvertDataXmlToJson: " + e.Message );}}}}

And you are already done. Easy!
