How to convert HEIC to WEBP in PHP

Today is the day you solve all your HEIC problems. Don’t worry, this isn’t a long, coding-intensive, from-scratch tutorial. No, this is the easy way to get things done. Ladies and gentlemen, we are bringing out an API to do the work for us!

Before we can use our API, we need to, of course, install our client. Simply go to the Composer command line and run this command:

composer require cloudmersive/cloudmersive_document_convert_api_client

Wait for the download and install to complete, which shouldn’t take long. Once that’s over, just call our image format conversion function, like so:

Easy, right? A few things that I should point out about this API: it supports almost all image formats (over 100) and it also can automatically detect the format of your input image.
