How to convert HEIC to PNG in Java

There is no bigger headache than trying to deal with incompatible file formats. That’s why today’s post will cover how to quickly convert between different image formats. Let’s get right to it.

First off, we need to set up our references in our Maven POM file.

Our repository reference will look like this:

And that’s it! We are done. Note that a very wide array of image formats are supported for both the starting and ending format. This API also has an format detection feature if you use UNKNOWN as your format1, providing excellent flexibility.
