How to Check if a File is Executable in PHP
Executable files are commonly used to enable Remote Code Execution or trigger other sinister cyberattacks.
Thankfully, using the complementary PHP code examples provided below, we can take advantage of a free API that simultaneously scans files for malware & verifies file formats to uncover executables and other threats.
We can set custom threat rules against unwanted, verified file types by setting simple request variables in our API call.
First, let’s install the SDK. We can run the below command in the command line to install using Composer:
