How to Block Script Uploads in Node.JS

Apart from all the usual infected file uploads, script attacks are a particularly difficult attack to block, slipping right past most forms of security that don’t specifically screen for malicious scripts. To fully protect yourself, you are going to need something ironclad, and I have just the thing. Today, I will be demonstrating how to set up Cloudmersive’s advanced virus scanning API, which can not only block scripts, but also detect masked executable files.

To start off, we need to install the client library for the API:

npm install cloudmersive-virus-api-client --save

Now we can call the advanced virus scanning function:

Besides performing triple layered malware scanning, this API also detects scripts, executables, invalid files, and password protected files.
